Mr. Ison graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2004, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, served as Notes Development Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review and was elected Order of the Coif.  He is the author of Two Wrongs Don't Make a Right: Medicaid, Section 1983 and the Cost of an Enforceable Right to Health Care, which was awarded the Morgan Prize for the most outstanding piece of student writing published in the Vanderbilt Law Review in 2003-2004.  Mr. Ison received his Master of Music in voice from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2001 and his Bachelor of Music in voice, summa cum laude, from the University of Kentucky in 1999.
