Mark Ison is an associate of Sherrard & Roe and a member of the Firm’s health care and corporate practice groups. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, health care regulatory compliance, securities and the day-to-day operational issues facing health care providers and other businesses in all stages of development. Mr. Ison graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2004, where he was a Dean’s Scholar, served as Notes Development Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review and was elected Order of the Coif. He is the author of Two Wrongs Don't Make a Right: Medicaid, Section 1983 and the Cost of an Enforceable Right to Health Care, which was awarded the Morgan Prize for the most outstanding piece of student writing published in the Vanderbilt Law Review in 2003-2004. Mr. Ison received his Master of Music in voice from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2001 and his Bachelor of Music in voice, summa cum laude, from the University of Kentucky in 1999. Mr. Ison is the current editor of the Tennessee Practice Series chapter on professional corporations and is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations, the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.
