Ryan Holt is focusing his practice on complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, securities cases, partnership and governance disputes, false advertising, and other business torts.  He also works on appellate litigation and is currently handling a matter in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Mr. Holt graduated first in his class in law school and served as the Editor in Chief of the Vanderbilt Law Review.  He finished with first honors after each of his three years of law school.  While there, he also received first honors in six individual courses, including Contracts, Constitutional Law, Securities Regulation, and Corporations & Business Entities.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Holt served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gilbert S. Merritt, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, for whom he also interned during law school. Additionally, Mr. Holt interned for the Honorable George C. Paine, Chief Judge, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Raised in Nashville, Mr. Holt currently serves on the Founding Board of Intrepid College Preparatory Charter School.  He mentors through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.  After college, Mr. Holt taught sixth-grade math in an inner-city public school in New York City through Teach For America.
