Grant Dickson is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups, where he focuses on assisting local clean energy companies.  His practice covers the areas of general corporate representation, commercial litigation, energy regulatory, and administrative law. 

Prior to joining Sherrard & Roe, Mr. Dickson was an associate with Latham & Watkins, LLP in Washington, D.C. where he was a member of the firm's Energy Regulatory and Markets, Climate Change, and Environmental Litigation practice groups.

Mr. Dickson has assisted clients in regulatory and transactional matters regarding the energy industry, including mergers and acquisitions.  He is familiar with the grants, loan guarantees, and other incentive-based programs associated with the development of clean energy resources that are available at both the federal and state levels.  He is also experienced in negotiating and drafting contracts for the purchase and sale of renewable electricity credits (RECs), carbon credits, and other green attributes.

Mr. Dickson is a native of Nashville. He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was a John W. Wade Scholar and was named to the Order of the Coif.  While at Vanderbilt, he was President of the Environmental Law Society, a member of the Moot Court Board, and a student writing editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law.  Mr. Dickson graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Lee University and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Mr. Dickson is a member of the Tennessee, Virginia, and District of Columbia bars.
